Craig R. Pataky, BCO, BADO
Craig Pataky was born and raised in El Paso Texas. He became interested in the field of ocular prosthetics after losing his eye from a traumatic injury in 1985. He attended Texas Tech University and graduated in 1996 with a Bachelor of Science in Biology. He completed an apprenticeship in Houston under Marcus Soper, BCO, FASO. In 2001 he was awarded the Joseph LeGrand Sr. Memorial Award for his achievements as an apprentice. Craig was certified by the National Examining Board of Ocularists in 2002, and finished his American Society of Ocularists diploma in 2003. He is a member of the ASO Education Committee since 2006 and has been the Education Program Chair for numerous ASO conferences. He enjoys teaching and has lectured on various topics relating to Ocularistry. Craig was elected to American Society of Ocularist's Board of Directors and served on the board from 2014-2017. Craig founded Austin Ocular Prosthetics Center in 2007. He has been a practicing as an ocularist since 1997. He resides in Austin with his wife, and their two sons. In his free time Craig enjoys spending time with his family and racing in triathlons, cycling, snow skiing and scuba diving.
